China Issues 2025–2026 Work Plan to Stabilize Growth and Promote High-Quality Development in the Building Materials Industry

To implement the decisions and deployments of the Central Economic Work Conference, promote stable operations and structural optimization in the building materials industry, and accelerate high-quality development, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), together with the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Water Resources, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, recently issued the Work Plan for Stabilizing Growth in the Building Materials Industry (2025–2026) (hereinafter referred to as the “Work Plan”). The document was officially released on September 24.

According to the Work Plan, during 2025–2026, the building materials industry will continue to recover and improve, with profitability significantly enhanced and technological innovation capacity steadily strengthened. The scale of green building materials and advanced inorganic non-metallic materials industries will keep expanding, with the revenue of green building materials expected to exceed 300 billion yuan by 2026.
