Recently, a research team from the Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Technology Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the China Railway Fifth Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd. visited Anning City to investigate the progress of phosphogypsum comprehensive utilization.
Officials from the Anning Branch of the Kunming Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau and the Anning Bureau of Industry, Science, and Information Technology accompanied the research delegation.
The team conducted on-site inspections at Yunnan Yun Tianhua Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. and Yunnan Xiangfeng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. They visited the Songping Longshu Phosphate Mine No. 2 Ecological Restoration Pilot Project and the 2-million-ton Phosphogypsum Harmless Treatment Project of Yunnan Xiangfeng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd.
During the visit, the delegation gained a detailed understanding of each company’s phosphogypsum storage, treatment, and comprehensive utilization practices. At the subsequent seminar, participants held in-depth discussions on various topics, including production processes, phosphogypsum output, harmless treatment technologies, utilization pathways, existing challenges, and market demand.
The research group emphasized that it is essential to strengthen policy guidance and financial support, encourage enterprises to increase R&D investment, and improve harmless treatment technology levels. They also urged companies to overcome technical barriers in the comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum and broaden its industrial application channels.
This investigation highlights China’s continued commitment to promoting green development, circular economy practices, and industrial solid waste resource utilization.
