The gypsum powder manufacturing process involves a structured sequence of operations that convert raw gypsum into a consistent, fine powder. At Hengshui Decheng Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd., each stage is carefully engineered for quality and efficiency.
Crushing and Grinding
The journey begins with the delivery of gypsum rock to the plant. The raw material is crushed into smaller chunks using jaw crushers. These chunks are then fed into a grinding mill, where the material is ground to a uniform powder with controlled fineness.
Calcination
Next, the ground gypsum is introduced into a calciner where it is heated to temperatures typically ranging from 140°C to 180°C. This heating process removes bound water, converting the gypsum into plaster of Paris or stucco.
Cooling and Screening
The calcined material is cooled using heat exchangers or air-cooling systems. Screening machines then remove any oversized particles, ensuring a fine and uniform powder.
Storage and Handling
The final powder is stored in silos equipped with aeration systems to prevent clumping. The material is kept under controlled humidity and temperature conditions to maintain stability.
Automation and Quality Assurance
A centralized control system oversees the entire process, from crushing to packaging. Operators can monitor key parameters such as temperature, residence time, and particle size. Regular quality tests are performed on sample batches to verify purity, setting time, and moisture content.
Environmental Responsibility
Decheng integrates dust suppression systems and closed-loop water systems to reduce the environmental footprint of the powder production line.
