Gypsum Block Machine: Cost, Capacity and Production Process (2026 Guide)

A gypsum block machine line produces hollow or solid gypsum blocks for interior partition walls. DCI manufactures complete gypsum block production lines with capacities from 100,000 to 450,000 m² per year, and delivers them on a turnkey basis: engineering design, equipment manufacturing, shipping, on-site installation, commissioning and operator training. Every gypsum block making machine is configured around the customer's block size, capacity target and site conditions.

What a Gypsum Block Production Line Includes

●Raw materials — gypsum powder and water

●Batching and mixing of gypsum powder with water to a controlled ratio

●Moulding — block size is set by the mould, and the number of moulds per cycle sets hourly output

●Demoulding and conveying of formed blocks

●Drying — air drying or a hot air stove drying system

●Stacking and storage of finished blocks

Control is full-automatic.

Capacity Range and Standard Models

DCI supplies gypsum block moulding machines across five standard thickness groups. Each group is offered with three mould counts — 30, 18 and 10 moulds per cycle — which set the output of the line. Gypsum block production line capacity ranges from 100,000 to 450,000 m² per year.

Model naming follows product type and block thickness: the DC series is empty-core, the DCS series is solid-core, and the number indicates block thickness in millimetres followed by the mould count — for example, DC2030 is a 200 mm empty-core block produced with 30 moulds per cycle.

Block face dimensions are 620 × 400 mm for the 200 mm thickness group and 666 × 500 mm for the other groups. The second dimension is continuously adjustable between 300 and 500 mm, and the corresponding mould specifications are 620 × 400 × 200 mm, 666 × 500 × 150 mm, 666 × 500 × 100 mm and 666 × 500 × 70 mm.

Gypsum Block Machine Price and Investment

Gypsum block machine price and gypsum block production line price are quoted on a project basis rather than as a single list figure, because every line is built to the customer's block size and capacity target. The gypsum block making machine cost is driven mainly by the factors below.

●Annual capacity — from 100,000 to 450,000 m² per year

●Block thickness and mould count — the 200 mm, 150 mm, 100 mm and 70 mm groups differ in output, and each group is built with 30, 18 or 10 moulds per cycle

●Product type — empty-core or solid-core moulds

●Drying method — air drying or a hot air stove drying kiln

●Automation level — full-automatic versus semi-automatic control

●Scope of supply — machinery only, or machinery with steel structure workshop and site infrastructure

●Site conditions and installation scope, including shipping and on-site works

We issue a price range for your specific configuration once your capacity, block size and available fuel are confirmed. Send us those three details and our engineering team will return a tailored configuration and quotation.

Solid and Hollow Gypsum Blocks

DCI supplies moulds for both empty-core and solid-core blocks, so the same line can be configured for either product type. The DC series covers empty-core blocks in 200 mm, 150 mm and 100 mm thicknesses; the DCS series covers solid-core blocks in 100 mm and 70 mm thicknesses. Both are used for interior partition walls.

Drying System and Drying Kiln

Blocks can be air dried, or dried in a hot air stove drying kiln where faster throughput is required. The gypsum block drying kiln is composed of the drying kiln, circulation fan, circulation air pipeline, hot air stove, burner and regulation fan, transition mechanism and pushing mechanism.

The drying kiln is available across the same capacity range as the line — 100,000 to 450,000 m² per year — and runs on natural gas, heavy oil, coal or diesel.

Installation, Commissioning and Training

Installation and commissioning typically take 4 to 6 months from equipment arrival, depending on site readiness and line size. Our engineers remain on site until the line reaches its rated output and your team can operate it independently. Operator and maintenance training is delivered on site, and every line carries a one-year warranty with remote support and spare parts supply.

●Kyrgyzstan — 150,000 m² per year

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the capacity range of a gypsum block production line?

A: From 100,000 to 450,000 m² per year. DCI supplies fifteen standard models across five thickness groups — 200 mm, 150 mm, 100 mm empty core, 100 mm solid core and 70 mm — each available with 30, 18 or 10 moulds per cycle.

Q: How much does a gypsum block machine cost?

A: The gypsum block making machine cost and the gypsum block production line price depend mainly on capacity, block thickness and mould count, product type, drying method, automation level and scope of supply. We issue a price range once your capacity, block size and available fuel are confirmed.

Q: What is the gypsum block manufacturing process?

A: Gypsum powder and water are batched and mixed, formed to size in moulds, demoulded, and then dried — either air dried or dried in a hot air stove drying kiln — before stacking and storage.

Q: What is the difference between solid and hollow gypsum blocks?

A: Solid-core blocks are cast solid; empty-core blocks are formed with internal voids. Both are used for interior partition walls. In DCI's range, the DC series is empty-core and the DCS series is solid-core, and either type can be supplied on the same line.

Q: What block sizes can the line produce?

A: Thickness 70 to 200 mm, length 620 mm or 666 mm, and width continuously adjustable between 300 and 500 mm. Other dimensions can be designed to customer requirement.

Q: What standard do DCI gypsum blocks meet?

A: JC/T 698-2010.

Q: How long does installation and commissioning take?

A: Typically 4 to 6 months from equipment arrival, depending on site readiness and line size.
