Phosphorus Chemical Group has successfully transformed phosphogypsum into green building materials such as self-leveling mortar and high-precision interlocking modules, featuring excellent properties of fire resistance, energy efficiency, low carbon emissions, and high performance. The production energy consumption is only one-fourth that of traditional cement, and carbon emissions are just one-seventh.
According to estimates, producing one ton of phosphogypsum-based building gypsum powder can save approximately 190 kilograms of standard coal and reduce carbon emissions by 500 kilograms—achieving simultaneous economic and ecological benefits.
Through technological innovation, the Group converts phosphogypsum into high-quality anhydrous gypsum, which can replace calcium carbonate, wood, and light steel in the production of decorative flooring, decorative materials, municipal products, and pipes and profiles. These materials offer advantages such as green and low-carbon performance, energy efficiency, environmental protection, high wear resistance, excellent fire resistance, cost-effectiveness, and superior thermal and acoustic insulation.
As of June 2025, Phosphorus Chemical Group has achieved stable production of high-quality anhydrous gypsum in a 100,000-ton industrial facility. With comprehensive upgrades to the production equipment, the company’s future annual production capacity is expected to reach 15 million tons.
