Gypsum boards are manufactured in production lines through a series of processes, including calcination, formulation, forming, drying, and finishing. Specialized equipment and machinery are used to transform raw gypsum into finished gypsum boards of various sizes and specifications.


Gypsum Board Production Line Used:

1. Calcination Equipment: Calcination equipment includes rotary kilns, flash calciners, or fluidized bed reactors used to heat and calcine raw gypsum into gypsum plaster. These systems provide controlled temperature and residence time to ensure uniform calcination and high-quality gypsum.

2. Mixing and Forming Machines: Mixing equipment such as paddle mixers or pin mixers are used to blend the calcined gypsum powder with additives and water to form a gypsum slurry. Forming machines, including board forming tables and continuous belt formers, shape the slurry into gypsum board sheets.

3. Drying Kilns: Drying kilns or drying chambers provide controlled conditions for drying gypsum boards, including temperature, humidity, and airflow. These kilns may utilize natural gas, electricity, or steam as heat sources to accelerate the drying process and cure the gypsum boards.

4. Cutting and Finishing Tools: Cutting machines, board saws, or guillotine cutters are used to cut gypsum boards to the desired dimensions and shapes. Edge trimmers, chamfering machines, and stamping equipment may be used for finishing operations to ensure uniformity and quality.
